Why 3 % 

Slug pellets vary in their performance irrespective of their inclusion rate (% metaldehyde) and trials have shown that quality 3% pellets often give better results than low quality 5% pellets.

It stands to reason, that a palatable pellet, with a high number of baiting points which persists for several days will control more slugs than one which is not attractive to slugs, has few baiting points and degrades rapidly.
 
What is more,  a quality pellet requires fewer applications at lower dose rates, saving you time and money while significantly reducing the risk of environmental impact and point source  contamination.

Such is the quality of Gusto 3’s formulation, not only does it outperform 5% dry process pellets, it actually shows control equal to its highly successful  predecessor Gusto 5.

However, Gusto 3 delivers less active ingredient per hectare, while giving equal slug control by providing more baiting points at low doses than alternative molluscicides due to its accurate 2mm dimension.
