What are the advantages of Cinder?

 EC Formulation

 SC Formulation

 Cinder

1. Reduced Staining

2. Optimised Spray Pattern

3. Easier Cleaning

1.  Reduced Staining

Growers who have applied EC and SC formulations of pendimethalin will be familiar with the vivid yellow staining of empty containers, measuring jugs, induction bowls, spray lines and tanks.

This is caused by the pendimethalin contained within the formulation which is itself a dye.

In EC and SC formulations, this dye is freely available and so tends to stain any surface that it comes into contact with.

At best this is an inconvenience, but at worst could lead to used packaging not being accepted by waste recyclers, even if it has been triple rinsed.

The picture to the right shows sprayer lines having been exposed to solutions of the formulations shown, then rinsed.

2.  Optimised Spray Pattern

Sprayer nozzles are calibrated using water. When a solvent is added to a formulation, it alters the physical properties of the resulting solution creating a different spray pattern to water alone.

Changing the spray pattern ultimately affects the accuracy of the amount of product delivered and result in under or over dosing.

As Cinder is formulated without organic solvents, the spray pattern produced is not compromised, allowing the nozzles to produce the correct spray pattern and the product to be applied accurately.

3.  Easier Cleaning

Independent trials have shown that Cinder leaves less residue on surfaces that it comes into contact with than any other formulation of pendimethalin.

While all formulations tested did retain less than 0.1% pendimethalin after 3 rinses, the Cinder formulation left significantly less residue than any of the other formulations.

This means that Cinder is less likely to cause contamination to following spray tanks than the EC or SC formulations and that rinsed empty cans can be cleaned thoroughly.

Pack rinsing is simpler and quicker using Cinder:

Cinder is less viscous than SC formulations making sprayer filling and can rinsing more straight forward.

The series of images above demonstrate the ease of the sprayer filling and can rinsing.
